Week 8 - How I plan to use AI?

Image
At this point in life, traveling is part of my identity. I use traveling (outside US) as a mental break from the hospital, family, and even friends. I travel every 3-4 months and use that time to reset/ refresh/ and recover my inner stability to return back to life. I do have a trip coming up soon, and asked ChatGPT to plan a 10 day itinerary to Jamaica. "Here's a 10-day itinerary for a fun and exciting trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica: Day 1: Arrival and Relaxation Arrive at Montego Bay International Airport Check into your hotel and relax after your journey Enjoy a sunset walk on the beach and try some local Jamaican cuisine for dinner. Day 2: Explore the City Take a morning stroll through the charming city center of Montego Bay. Visit the historic Sam Sharpe Square, the Old Courthouse, and the St. James Parish Church Shop for souvenirs and local crafts at the Montego Bay Craft Market. Enjoy an afternoon swim or sunbathe on one of the beautiful beaches. Day 3: Rafting and River...

Week 7- Surprising facts about AI

This week I asked ChatGPT to describe some random yet interesting facts about Artificial Intelligence, and the following was generated: The first-ever chatbot was created in 1966, and it was called ELIZA. It simulated conversation by responding to user inputs with pre-written scripts. AI can play video games at superhuman levels. For example, the AI program AlphaGo defeated a human champion at the complex game of Go in 2016. AI can create art. A painting created by an AI sold for $432,500 at an auction in 2018. AI can write music. In 2020, an AI program called AIVA composed a complete symphony that was played by a live orchestra. AI can recognize emotions in human faces. Facial recognition technology can detect emotions like happiness, sadness, and anger by analyzing facial expressions. AI can predict weather patterns. By analyzing data from weather satellites and sensors, AI can make accurate predictions about upcoming weather conditions. AI is used to develop self-driving cars. ...

Week 6- Extraterrestrial Life per ChatGPT

Image
My childhood dream as many others, was to become an astronaut. There was something about space and the uncertainty that intrigued my brain at a young age. Therefore science became my forte. Movies and other social media have portrayed "aliens" and "alien-like" species with distinct features such as missing fingers, huge/ bald heads, telepathic abilities, etc. But are these realistic alien features? How is it that Earth is the only known sustainable planet within the Milky Way galaxy? So I asked ChatGPT the following:  " Which other planet is most likely to sustain life? As far as we know, Earth is the only planet in our solar system that currently sustains life. However, scientists have identified several planets outside of our solar system, known as exoplanets, that have the potential to sustain life. One of the most promising exoplanets is Kepler-452b, which is located about 1,400 light-years from Earth. It is a planet that is about 1.5 times the size of Ear...

Week 4 - Google hiring ChatGPT?

Recently I read an article on LinkedIn by Tech DAD, where Google conducted an experiment to see if ChatGPT can be used to get hired for a coding position. Basically Google chose a set of interview questions and asked ChatGPT, the answers were then determined to get hired at L3 position for coding. The objective is for Google to add AL chatbots to the website in order to eliminate multiple web searches for users and also save time. This position has average compensation of $183,000. Click here for full access to the link:  https://www.linkedin.com/posts/techdadpk_google-fed-coding-interview-questions-to-activity-7028636561197912064-RHdP/ Last week, I asked ChatGPT if AI would replace Respiratory Therapy occupation, and it answered no because the respiratory system was a complex part of human beings. After suffering through a global pandemic, our occupation should be pretty secure for the time being at least. And a week later I read this article that ChatGPT passes a Google Cod...

Week 3- Will AI eliminate my profession?

Image
So this we ek, I decided to dabble with ChatGPT, and ask some basic/ intense/ general questions that peaked my curiosity. I started with something easy and basic to comprehend, therefore anticipated a quick answer.  Question: Should dogs sleep with their owners?  Answer: " There is no definitive answer to this question, as the best sleeping arrangement for dogs and their owners depends on the individual preferences and needs of both. Some dogs may prefer sleeping with their owners, while others may prefer their own space. It's also important to consider factors such as the size and behavior of the dog, as well as the safety and comfort of both the dog and the owner. Sleeping with a dog can provide comfort and a sense of security, but it can also lead to disrupted sleep or injuries if the dog is prone to restless movements or aggressive behavior. Ultimately, the decision of whether or not a dog should sleep with its owner is a personal one, and should be made based on the...

Week 2- Avatar vs Atlas

Image
Over the past weekend, I decided to indulge on Avatar 2 and immediately I recalled how similar the Robots looked like Atlas. Therefore this blog will further explore and analyze the artificial intelligence currently used in reality and fantasy. For those unaware, Atlas is a Robot created by Boston Dynamics with amazing skills and machine learning ability. On January 18th 2023, Boston Dynamics published a video of Atlas gripping objects, doing a summersault, and other human-like activities. Below is am image of Atlas and click here to watch Atlas  in reality! Now onto Avatar, which was an emotional rollercoaster in itself. When I first saw General Ardmore's exoskeleton Robot, it reminded me of Atlas. Also known as the AMP suit or Amplified Mobility Platform was used as a protective armor from the native Na'vi tribe. Below is an image the AMP suit represented in the movie. Now the question remains: Are these Robots used to assist humans or annihilate an entire species?
